The millennial group is said to have an important role in the national economic recovery (PEN).

This potential can be seen from the total population of this group in Indonesia as well as the millennial ability to use technology.

Director General of Information and Public Communication of the Ministry of Communication and Information (Kemkominfo), Usman Kansong, assessed that the millennial generation is the key to the performance of the Indonesian nation in the future in facing global competition.

This role also encourages productivity growth which has an impact on strengthening the Indonesian economy.

 "Our optimism is that the nation's economy is being restored," said Usman, in Jakarta, Saturday (11/12).

To explain the contribution that millennials can make, the President Commissioner of BRIlife, Muhammad Syafri Rozi said that this generation has a creative and innovative nature which is supported by digital literacy or digital savvy. 

This point is what makes millennials a driving force in the recovery of the national economy.

"So, we hope that millennials will support MSMEs to go digital in their operational migration to hybrid offline to online, supporting issues of connectivity, infrastructure, data privacy, and cyber security. 

Millennials can also create creative economy-based jobs that are competitive both nationally and globally,” explained Syafri Rozi.

Chief of Product DANA Indonesia, Rangga Wiseno added, the millennial ability to use technology can make this group a bridge for each generation.


"They also have a high curiosity and have achievement when experimenting, also ultimately teaching others to adapt to digital," he concluded.
